About

Geetanjali Sayal is a graduate in MA Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She has a background in Architecture and an interest in looking beyond the structural and functional aspects of space and material, to the human and narrative dimensions of the environment.

In 2018, she started developing her professional practice under the umbrella of ‘Dreamwoven Collective’ as a collaborative platform for people across multi-disciplinary backgrounds to conduct research and create design interventions addressing various challenges in the public realm.

The idea for having this collective in India originated while working on projects here and in London, Brazil, Argentina, Malta. The coming together of diverse mindsets often allowed the possibility to re-imagine traditional approaches towards designing public experiences, at the same time bridging the gap between the designer, locals and visitors.

Some of the projects worked on previously include – Serendipity Arts Festival (India), Processions 2018 (Belfast, Edinburgh, London, Cardiff), Lumiere Light Festival (London and Durham), London’s Burning (London), Sound Installation in conjunction with Venice Biennale (Venice), Audio Walk + Installations (Middle Circle, New Delhi)
